The whole family is invited to pair up and create their favorite pairings with pears for a chance at $200!
Pear Bureau Northwest’s “Perfect Pairs” promotional program is a consumer-focused program taking place at participating retailers throughout the United States during the months of February and March 2011. Since USA Pears can be paired with a wide range of food items to create wonderful taste combinations, this contest invites consumers to tell us their favorite food or food item to eat with pears. At the same time, it enters the person into the “Perfect Pairs” contest. The rules for qualified entry are:
• To enter the “Perfect Pairs” contest, purchasers must pick up entry forms at a participating retailer.
• All entrants need to be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to enter and be able to provide legal proof of age in order to be awarded a contest prize.
• No purchase required to enter.
• Entrants need to write the perfect food item, dish or recipe that their family pairs with USA Pears on the back of the entry form. Longer responses than space will allow on the form can be provided on a separate card or sheet of paper.
• Entrants also need to write in the designated area of the form the name of the participating retailer from which they obtained the entry form.
• All entries need to be mailed to the following address:

• All entry forms must be received at the Perfect Pairs Contest address no later than April 15, 2011 to be eligible for the drawing.
• Pear Bureau employees, vendors and other personnel retained by the Pear Bureau are not eligible for this contest.
• Purchasers may enter as often as they would like.
Awards:
• Pear Bureau Northwest or its agents will solely determine all Perfect Pairs contest winners. All winners will be randomly drawn with all award drawings being final.
• Odds of winning are based on the total number of entries received by the deadline date.
• Limit one winner per household.
• Participating retailers will not notify contestants and at no time are in any way liable for prize items, including information included in any materials that may be sent to prize winners from the Pear Bureau or any other parties.
o There will be five (5) winners receiving a $200.00 shopping spree at their “Perfect Pairs” participating store chain.
o Pear Bureau Northwest will notify the winner directly.
o Pear Bureau Northwest will contact participating stores, supplying them with winner’s name and contact information solely to facilitate award process.
o All applicable state, federal or other taxes for awards are the sole responsibility of the winner.
o Awards must be redeemed by no later than December 31, 2011.
• Drawing and notification of all winners will take place no later than May 15, 2011.
• Winners' names will be posted on our website at www.usapears.org/perfectpairs.aspx.
The Pear Bureau reserves the right at any time to modify, adjust, change or nullify the “Perfect Pairs” contest if it is in conflict with any local, state or federal laws or mandates. In such case, reasonable alternatives and/or solutions will be offered.
The Pear Bureau, the Northwest pear growers and shippers, and any other parties contracted by the Pear Bureau related to the development, implementation or award of prizes will not be held liable or in any way legally responsible for any injury or other related matter occurring at retail stores where “Perfect Pairs” promotions are taking place.
All entry forms submitted as part of the “Perfect Pairs” contest will not be returned and are deemed to be the sole property of the Pear Bureau Northwest. Information provided by entrants as part of the contest will be held as strictly confidential and used exclusively for the “Perfect Pairs” contest, with any aggregate data being derived used for analysis purposes only.
